Said my Microsoft license key had expired. I wish these morons would come up with more interesting stories. At least the IRS scam had me going for about 10 seconds. I could tell this was a scam after the very first couple of words. I got repeated calls from this number.

Received 4 calls today, saying that my "Microsoft license is expired, & all operations of my computer are suspended." To fix it, "back call us" at 844-308-6816. I was tempted to call that number just to see who answered, but never did. After the third call, I decided if they called again, I'd answer just to say to take my number off their database & don't call again, but there was no way to do so, just call that other number.

spoofing as Dell to fix a security issue. they have some cursory information about past service work, to try to trick you into thinking they are real. But probe them , and they are not real.
