Woman asked if I was my husband. I said no this is his wife. She verified my name and then stated that she was calling in regards to our closed account that was negative a significant amount of money. She wanted to know if was “prepared to make a payment” and when I told her no I’d need to speak with my husband she verified our numbers and address. She did not ask for SS but did ask if I would accept texts and calls from their voice automated services. My husband said we most definitely do not have an account overdrawn and that this was a scam.

They tried asking for my social security number and address, wanting to discover who i currently bank with. DO NOT ANSWER THEIR CALLS.

THIS IS NOT WELLS FARGO!!! WELLS FARGO will not call and ask for your account or SS# randomly. Do not give out this information. The bank will mail you a letter if you are in default or owe for anything. Never give out this information over the phone to a solicitor. They already have this info. If anything they ask for phone number and last 4 of your SS#. I didn’t answer but called back. I didn’t even say hello, she just said this is Wells Fargo on a recorded line may I have your account number or SS#. I hung up and here I am. DON’T BE FOOLED!
