This number called me and informed me that I was having court proceedings isused against me by the CRA. I was told that I owed CRA some $5,000 dollars. Sadly for him, he didn't realize but I am based in UK and never been to Canada or had any monies with them. When I pointed this out to him, he started saying I would be subpoenaed and it was better for me to pay up. He said that a court date had been set and if I failed to turn up a warrant would be issued and I would be prosecuted under US law. When I finally revealed that was interesting because I lived in the UK he hung up.

A guy going by 'James M****', previously 'Mark C****, ID: ***97' called to tell me that the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is going to sue me and wishing me good luck. The guy had a Bangladeshi/Indian accent and refused to go by a believable name. I called back and told them my full name before I knew what was wrong. He may have requested more identifying info, but I asked him to look me up by last name. He then started threatening me with a court order saying I owe the CRA 3'000 at which point I knew this was a scam because I have never seen that much money. At one point, he requested that I listen to him and then he proceeded to talk at me for 20 minutes using words like 'Affidavit', 'Subpoena' and 'Statute' oddly out of context. So I said please send a formal letter with a court date. He said that was already done and I ignored it. I told him okay. Then it got awkward as he didn't know how to proceed and he eventually said I have to pay the money back. I told him I'll eventually pay after a fair trial as court proceedings in Canada are usually lengthy. So he told me good luck, see you in court and hung up. It was overall more entertaining than the Hotel Scam as they carry on a conversation with you and allow you to procrastinate sufficiently. 8/10 entertainment 5/10 believability 10/10 angry ramble 2/10 Goal-oriented scamming

Called claiming they were from CRA and either myself or my attorney should call them back - I hung up and called the number back. It rang about 20 times and someone finally answered "CRA" I could hear other people on phones in the background- he asked for my SIN number and I told him I knew he wasn't from CRA and to stop calling me

This is deffiently a scam guy called me saying it was CRA to call the number right back when i called same exact person instantly picked up. He went on saying i was going to suffer consequences and all this stuff. I asked if there was anyone else to talk to and why i was hearing from them only now he hung up. Never gave them my info mayjor scam.

I received a call claiming to be the FL State Health Dept asking about a bladder surgery I had. I told them I've never had that and to remove me from his list. He then said "Ok, are you taking your medication for your surgery still?" I said I Never had surgery. Then he asked if I was a diabetic. I finally hung hung and blocked his number.
