I received a call from this number and it rang and then hung up after maybe 2 rings. I searched online and noticed that those that answer get a heavy accent person that is attempting to scam. I looked up the number and it appears to be the phone number for the US Health and Human Service department. I didn't get a voicemail. I called it back and it went to their office but I couldn't get a person at the time. I suspect that someone might be spoofing the phone number when reaching out to people.

This is a scam call, this caller is able to use the number listed for the Health and Human Services, but if you call them they will tell you that they do not EVER make outgoing calls like this. The person on the other line was aggressive and very rude, that's a red flag for any type of phone conversation. Do not ever say "Yes" to this type of caller. Tell them you have the wrong number then hang up. They are either trying to steal your identity or your bank account information and all they need from you is a "yes".

Two men with non English accents called me one was a supervisor I was transferred to.(I think it may have been the same person) They had my name, DOB and address. They said it was to ensure that medical professionals we not billing for services they have not provided. We he asked who my insurance was through I was alarmed and said you should have this information. This alarmed me and I hung up!

Received a call from someone talking in a foreign accent saying he was from Health Verification. And when I asked what he wanted he said that he wanted my health history. When I told him that I wasn't giving him my health history he asked "Why?". I said "Because I don't know you." He hung up. Caller ID showed DHHS Info Gov. and the phone number 877-696-6775 is an actual number listed for the Dept. of Health & Human Services according to this website: http://www.hhs.gov/about/contact-us/index.html
