Got an email with this number saying I may be part of class action for unauthorized accounts- did not trust number in email so called Wells Fargo. They said the email was sent to all account holders and gave me a number I could call to see if I had any unauthorized use done in my name. He listed the same number that was in the email that others said was a scam. Maybe they were spoofed.

The number is legit. It is for Wells Fargo claims to find out if any additional accounts were openned under your name. If you go to WellsFargo.com, it even has that number listed to call for verification. They will tell you every account that is listed under your name.

They posed as Wells Fargo bank. They asked for my account #, SS# (Scam call) reported by Nena
This is not a legitimate Wells Fargo number. They sent an email posing as them and said I might be part of the unauthorized open accounts' claim. I called to make sure there were no unauthorized accounts in my name and they got sensitive information. Do NOT call this #!!
