My mother answered the phone. They used the name NC Services allowing her to assume they were part of the state government wanting to assess damaged after Hurricane Florence. My mother told the caller that she had already made a claim to her insurance. Their response was to tell her that they wanted to give an estimate of repair costs and would stop by tomorrow. Thank you for your postings. Without them I would not have been able to convince her this was a scam operation. This is just evil taking advantage of elderly people who have had their homes damaged. Parasites.

Got the same call as everyone else described here... from "NC Services" after Hurricane Florence... we are a "local company", "you've probably seen our signs", "we are working in the area"... said they want to do a free roof estimate. I should have known better, but we do have roof damage, so I agreed to an appointment. Then came to this site and read all these reviews, tried to call back to cancel, and they don't answer.

Must be a Call Center that violates the DO NOT CALL LIST...Some Call Center must be phishing for leads for Roofing & Siding Contractors as I've gotten multiple calls over the past several months after a Hail Storm hit my area, earlier this spring. I actually had 3 contractors show up to look at my house, back in June, just to waste their time. I say that because I wouldn't use a contractor that uses a service that violates the DO NOT CALL LIST. I assume these contractors get leads from this or a similar call center. Some contractor is coming to my house, AGAIN, tomorrow, but I gave them a fake address and I won't be home. Just trying to screw with them and waste their time.

They would be in my neighborhood and wanted to do a free roof inspection. Called most of my neighbors also. I told them they do not even know what type of roof I have, and they said they could still perform an inspection. Told them I don't think so I have a metal roof. (I just hired a company to redo my barn roof (metal) and check for loose fasteners on the house.) Told them also that I'm on a do not call list and they would be reported, i hung up at that point. Side note they called 3 consecutive days, last time I spoke to a gentleman who was of hispanic origin and first generation. I know this due to the fact he called me Mr. James, which I have only been called this by hispanics of first generation.

Aggressive calls and said they were local and city licensed. After 8 calls from them I called my city to complaine and they are not local and not licensed. They said if they do show up call the cops they are a scam and the sherif would come deal with it. They never did show up but over the phone wanted my insurance info. Nasty scam

See its funny why we as homeowners think right away its a scam and sometimes we dont take the time to listen. I say it cuz it happened to me I recieved numerus calls and I said no many times ontill one day I just allowed them to come over and well it wassent a scam and it turned out to be that my roof was ok, the contractor that arrived was licensed said he was coming for the check up that was set yesterday over the phone it wassent the company that called cuz he buys the leads from the company that called and that the questions that I was asked was to see if my roof qualified for the free checkup other wise they wouldent pay for the lead thats how I understood all the calls and Im not gonna say its ok cuz it bothers but it is not a scam at all its just a way to tram up bussiness

Telemarketers claiming to be from the city you live in in order to conduct “roof inspections” although they are claimed to provide shotty services. They are known to poke **** in your roof and go around and say your roofs need work on! DO NOT ANSWER!

Someone who said his name was Frank from Florida Services called me to today to say they are in my neighborhood doing roof repair for other homeowners and wanted to come to my house this afternoon/evening to give me a free estimate. I could not find a roof repair company by that name so I looked up the phone number and it seems they are scammers. I sure hope they don’t show up at my house tonight!

Inspect roof from recent storms (Scam call) reported by


I continue to get a call from Texas Construction Services saying they are in our area and want to inspect our roof due to the recent storms in our area. There haven't been any recent storms and will I call the number back that is on the caller ID the number is disconnected. When I ask them to remove my number they hang up on me. When I acted interested but was busy I asked for a number to call and it was 888-205-6085 and he said Texas Construction Services. I looked the number up and there is no such company. When I called the number it was an automated answering machine asking me to leave my number. They mentioned when calling that they are sure I've seen the signs in my area but there are no signs. When I block the number they just spoof another number. Don't be scammed by them.
