Beware of scam.

They called and left a message to say that the warranty on my Mercedes has expired, and congratulated me for being the beneficiary of a $1,000 rebate to renew it. B.S! I do not own a Mercedes, although I did several years ago. Perhaps they have access to old registry information and make these calls hoping to fool some small percentage of their targets.

Never say the company they are from. When I call the number it doesn’t ring, just a beep and then a guy comes on asking for me and telling me my address and what type of car I have which is very uncomfortable because I don’t know how they have they info. I’m reporting them to the police and I told them so. Beware, do not give them any of your information. It is FAKE! I didn’t even give the guy time to explain. I asked who they are and why they are calling and he says “why did you call and then hang up, that’s what I want to know” like what??? Cursed him out and threatened cops. Haven’t been called again.

I received the same call today about the warranty on my Honda. The number that is displayed on my phone was 419-220-50xx, but when "Jessica" left the message she told me to call 888-206-53xx. The warranty I have is fully paid for the duration and was provided through dealership. This is clearly a ruse to obtain credit card info and I’ll bet no one got a single free oil change out of this.
