I returned an 888 call. A woman with a thick 'foreign' accent identified the number s Northern Sierra and they were a 'mediation firm', but would not explain what a 'mediation firm' was. I blocked the number. Am guessing its some kind of collections agency scam

This has got to be the scariest voicemail I’ve ever received. It was 1:12 long. At first heard some distant background music, as though the person calling was in a store. Then I heard a man breathing deeply into the phone, as though purposefully trying to be loud enough so I would hear. Last thirty seconds I heard a weird clicking noise, like a constant rolling of dice. Super weird.

He asked for me and I asked him what was his name and what company he called for. He answered real fast so I would not understand.Then he mention my social and asked if it was correct. I asked him what was the issue and he said it's a personal matter. I said by and hung up.I knew it had to be a scam because he would not tell me why he was calling and asked for my social security.

Stated they were a mediation company called Sierra Mediation. Said all legal matters go through my attorneys. Caller said it wasn't a legal matter. When I said if you're identifying yourself as a mediation company, that implys this is a legal matter requiring attorney involvement. Asked for the caller's name, title and direct extension. Caller immediately hung up.
