I didn't answer, they left a message. Was a toll free number, thought was legit. Man answered very uncomfortably. Said he was from Microsoft issuing rebates. Asked me if I knew how much they owed me. Then told me to go onto my computer, asked which browser I was using, told him Google Chrome, he said to go to www.helpme.net and enter a code #109605485. Told him my computer was updating, so I'd do it on my phone. He said adamantly "no" and he'd wait 'til my computer was finished. I told him to call my hired professional computer company cuz the only computer I have is at work. He said the federal government is listening to this call and he prefers if I don't give him personal information like that. He was very persistent and aggressive.

Inbound call was a robo-message. Called back the number and reached a human with offshore call center sounds in background. He answered with "Microsoft Refund Department" and they claim they are refunding money for Microsoft services I paid for "because our servers crashed and you are under warranty". Wanted to connect me to a refund dept but I needed to be in front of a computer. Said I wasn't and I'd call back, he gave me a 4-digit "password" and told me to call his cell # - 202-871-4078
