"Katie" leaves a voicemail that breaks up at the beginning of the call so you don't know the name of the company. It is a prerecorded voicemail that has probably been stolen from a real woman. Do not call back!

Katie sounds like the crazy Libs out in California. OMG.... uh. She sounds so fake-a, I'm pretty sure it is the exact same message they left on my wife's phone. My car is 11 years old, if you really want to extend my factory warranty, i have some beach front property in the sahara i will give you in exchange for you to stop calling me.

It came in the form of a voicemail. A female voice very smooth almost sexy. She made it sound like I had missed the beginning of the message. she said it had been sent to my home address and that I needed to call her today as it was an urgent matter. I plan on calling her back right after my conference call with the 3 stooges.

Um we have actually called you several times and we also sent out notices to your home so I'm not quite sure why we haven't heard back from you yet in any case is important that we speak to you today in order to keep your file open so please call me at 18882180804 thank you so much for your needed attention to this matter and I hope we can connect soon bye for now. SO I CALL THEM BACK Guy on the phone sounds like a scam so I tell him he does. He says "i understand so many scams around" then asked for my mileage. AND LIKE AN **** I GAVE IT TO HIM. When he asked for more info I said no I need to talk to my husband and have him call you back and hung up. NOW I'm reading all of this trying to get someone back on the phone to read them the riot act and guess what? All i get is call waiting music and it's getting excessively louder as I hold. They can go f* themselves. All these scams. GET A REAL JOB.

I got the same message from a Katie as others did. The call came from a Texas number 361 491 3402 but the 888 number was the call back.

I received the same script as mentioned above. I knew it was a scam, because it is quite unprofessional to not say who they are trying to reach. And then say they aren't sure why we haven't called back. I will be blocking the number.

Same voicemail from Katie as others received above. I called back, a man answered, I told him I knew this was a scam and asked him to remove me from the list, and he was very aggressive and angry with me and hung up on me.

SAME ISSUE. Weird and very aggressive phone call telling me I HAD TO get this insurance on my 2017 Volkswagen. I said I don't need it, have other issues going on in life right now that are extremely important health issues, the guy started YELLING into the phone at me that I HAD TO buy it in a high pitched screetch. Total weirdo and not surprised this is a total scam.

I called the 888 number they left on my voicemail and was greeted by a young man who proceeded to yell at me and call me the short form of Richard because how he interpreted my email with starts with dlc, but apparently that was grounds to yell at me so I hung up and called back and got another young man who did the same and I only know this because I could still hear the other guy in the background so I guess he didn't realize I hung up on him. I blocked both numbers associated with it but not sure that is going to do anything.

I got the same partial message. That, on its own, was enough to make me suspect it was a robocall playing a recording, since a live person would surely have realized that she was talking to an answering machine that wasn't recording, when she heard the tone, if not earlier, but it's good to have my suspicion confirmed.

As another poster listed “Katie” left a voicemail saying almost verbatim what another poster above said (warranty on car, several calls, mailers to house, not sure why I don’t call back... blah blah). Didn’t identify anything about themselves, or me, or my car. The tone of voice and language use shows a slippery slope for people, especially if they are less informed, older, or in a fear state. The criminals are getting better all the time. Do not fall for this. Thank you to everyone else who posted as it helped me confirm my suspicion.
