Call from "Sprint" to let me know of unusual activity on my account, an order placed for 2 i phones. I opened my account while on the call and told the rep there were no orders pending on my account. she advised she would be texting my a code to confirm the cancellation. I told her I was not giving her any code. and that the address and account # she gave me were NOT MINE. I hung up and call sprint. they showed NO activity on my acct.

Pending Sprint iPhone 11 order (Scam call) reported by


Call initiated with info on a pending order. Press 1 to agree with order, or 2 to speak with representative. Pressed 2, got a guy who didn’t give his name, and had asked for me to verify account info, but at first didn’t say who he’s with. Asked who did I call, and he said Sprint. He was very adamant about verifying account info user name. He gave me the location of where the order was placed. I didn’t provide any info, but he wanted to send a verification text to my cell number which he had. After debunking information he was asking for, like my last 4 of the ssn, I refused to continue, and I need to call Sprint back at the 1-888 number to cancel order. The rep said he’ll contact shipper vender, FedEx, to put a hold on the shipment.

Started as a robo call. Voice said they were calling about an order that was ready to ship and if I agreed with the order then press "1" and to press "2" if I didn't agree. No mention at all what the order or product was, and no company name was mentioned. So I pressed "1" and was connected to a guy with an accent. He started by thanking me for holding, which sounded odd since I was connected immediately. Sounded like he said "Spring Customer Service" so I had him repeat it. Then he said they were my cell phone carrier. Told him I don't have Sprint, I didn't have any orders with Sprint and to put my number on their internal DNC list.

He advised I call corporate, so I asked for the phone number. he said 1-800-sprint, I told him that was not Sprint's customer care number and there weren't enough digits. He didn't understand, heavy spanish accent, and hung up.
