New Scam Technique AT&T/Direct TV (Scam call) reported by


Instead of the IRS Scam they've apparently switched gears. A call from 18447124868 came in which my phone labeled Scam Likely. They left a voice mail of a recording. Sounded like an ad, no accent, American sounding guy. Saying your AT&T/Direct TV account is eligible for 50% off if you call 18882317304. Out of curiosity I Googled that number and found these reports of IRS Scam. So they may have CHANGED TACTICS. Possibly using the recording to hide the foreign accents that tip people off to a Scam? Also calling from a new number directing to call 18882317304

Received a call with a computerized voice recording said misconduct on my taxes and I was hiding from the Federal Government. this need to be rectified immediately and to call back the number 888-231-7304.

Just as all of the previous people, this number called me and it was a robotic voice sayig that the IRS has charged me with Tax Fraud. I keep up with my tax info, and know this to be untrue.
