Bellco CU uses Falcon Fraud Card Monitoring Service (Financial services) reported by


I called Bellco Credit Union and they confirmed that they use Falcon Card Monitoring Service to detect unusual transactions. Bellco CU confirmed that 888-241-2440 is the Falcon Fraud Dept number. I use a service based in Toronto ON Canada and paid with my debit card. Bellco placed a Travel Alert so that future transactions with this Toronto Ontario Canada company would not be flagged as an unusual transactions. Based on other comments posted here, it appears that multiple Credit Unions use Falcon Card Monitoring service.

I got a texted asking if I would approve a transaction for .67 from Nextefx, I replied NO and got a texted saying my card was now blocked so I called my credit union and they said they did block my card because it was a fraud transaction, now i have to get a new card.

I verified with my bank. I did not answer the call. They left a message and sounded legit. I was still skeptical. Checked my account online and then called. My bank verified everything was fine but that this was indeed a scam and they would not ever call you and ask for bank call code. Those who gave this info later found charges on their account.

It turned out that my wife's debit card # had been used in Brazil. My CU confirmed that the call was legitimate. They wouldn't use the term 'outsourced' in referring to this fraud monitoring but that's what I'd call it. My CU referred to it as 'cooperative' with other CU's. I did respond Y to the text (indicating that the activity was not valid) but I then called my CU to follow up. Not a great system....and I told them so. But it IS legitimate. Always contact your financial institution directly to verify the situation...and once the matter is clear, give them your feedback about the confusing communication (unrecognized #, etc). We hear about scams all the time....this seems like poor execution of fraud monitoring but it is was effective once verified.

Got a call from this number about a possible fraudulent credit card transaction. I called my bank directly who confirmed it was legit and took care of it. I still recommend always contacting your bank directly rather than responding to these calls but this one does appear to be an actual fraud alert service used by banks. If you get a call from this number, just contact your bank.

I work for a large bank, so I hear about all the different types of scam calls "physing calls" They call hoping to get your personal information. I recently opened up a new account at a credit union. Which isn't linked with either of the numbers they called, texted or emailed from. I will say a lot of banks and credit unions to go through credit card service company's but not for debit cards. Please always call the number on the back of your debit card. The last thing you'd want is for someone to steal your information like Date of birth, SSN, Full debit card number, ECT.

They’re a third party service that credit unions use to respond to potential fraudulent activity on accounts. It’s legit at at; however, as another note mentions on this site, contact with them through your bank to ensure it is truly a partner service. If you don’t, your card will simply be locked until you speak with your bank.

They asked for Elouise. I told the female representative I don't know an Elouise. She didn't identify what company she represented. She hung up. I get more calls for other people or someone trying to sell me junk or telling me I have a past due bill. I'm having second thoughts about having a phone. Mail is becoming the same. What is the world coming to???

This caller is a legitimate card-holder service provider that my bank uses. The message was regarding some charges that were flagged as possible fraud. I returned the call through my bank. If you have any concerns, you should be able to return a call like this by calling your financial institution and having them connect you.

Got a call from my credit union alerting me of activity on my account. Sure enough my card info was stolen and they were able to cancel my card before any of the charges processed. Very helpful!

Fraud Dept - 1st Tech Credit Union (Financial services) reported by


Since it was an 888 number, I answered. A woman told me she was from xxxx Fraud Services for my First Tech Debit card. She listed the last few transactions attempted on my card and asked me to verify if I made them. Two were legit and one was a $1 attempt at an online membership. The transaction did not go through, due to incorrect expiration and 3dig security code.
