calls several times a week until i blocked it after 3 weeks. never responds to call screening, just hangs up instead. before call screening was turned on for this number, they never left a voicemail.

This number used to call daily, but now call twice a week, mostly during business hours. They've never left a message. Two weeks ago, Whitepages.com had them listed as a high risk spam number. Now, they're listed as benign and safe to call.

(888) 253-31xx www.allied-interstate.com/ a debt collection company, they have called me over the years for my student loans. Told the original lender I was unable to pay and do not speak to debt collectors for any reason. Do not answer the calls ever nor respond to letters, unless you want to work out a payment. If you are close to your 7.5 years (of it falling off your credit report) and the loans are private research your situation and think it over. A charge off, I still owe the debt that is no longer reflected in my credit report. Ignore all calls from numbers not programmed in my phone that do not leave a message.
