Fake call from Amazon re credit charge (Unsolicited call) reported by


This call came from Sault Ste Marie according to my phone. I did answer. It was a computer message that said one of my phones had used the credit card to make an Amazon purchase of over $700 dollars. At this point I hung up. I only have one phone. And if this did indeed happen I have protection on my card in that my bank would notify me of the transaction for approval, and this never happened. It was a phoney call.

I have no debts in collection (actually very little debt period, as I'm a senior with limited income), & I have no student loans. I don't answer calls I don't know who they are- unless I'm feeling feisty, then it's only to relieve some pent up stress by cussing them out (lol). They left no message.

Call back number is 888-2534239 they are collection agency for Student loans that anyone has signed for. They can modify a loan to get it out of delinquent standing but you will still owe the debt.

this company Action Financial is a 100% scam there trying to garnish people's wages for when they owe student loans on behalf of they say to US department of education I tried to work things out with them and all they wanted to do was have me pay more out-of-pocket it makes no sense I decided to go legal and block these people.

Payments are based on income... garnishment last 5 months on top of VOLUNTARY payments ... dept of education has to make sure that u are willing to resolve before they lift a wage garnishment.... most people stop paying once they get it stopped. It’s all about building consistency

If it was a scam how are they able to garnish my paycheck for my student loans

Yes they are legit and causing me great headaches. I cosigned for a student loan for my son years ago and just started receiving my social security checks when I turned 65 a few months ago ( in 2019) and a garnishment of 15 percent was taken out of my check with NO RECOURSE for the rest of my life this will be deducted! Problem is if you can get this company to modify the default loan you still owe the money and the garnishment continues! It is a no win situation.
