I did not answer however a voicemail was left that someone was trying to purchase an IPHONE on my Amazon account. I don't have one in my name, they called 2 weeks ago and I answered they almost had me on the computer about this purchase. The guy was angry with me because I was not going fast enough for him then I realized that he shouldn't be calling me because this account is not in my name, I told him he was the scammer and hung up!!!!!

I received a similar call a couple months ago, which I also did not answer. I recognized the phone number (888-280-4331) so I did not pick up the phone. In both cases the recording and the CallerID said the call was from Amazon. Also, both times they said a fraudulent purchase had been made. (IF AMAZON KNEW IT WAS A FRAUDULENT PURCHASE, WHY WOULD THEY CALL ME?) In both cases I immediately went to my Amazon account to list all my orders and of course no such purchase or order had been made. If anyone is curious, I wrote down the message word-for-word. My answering machine did not get the first few words, but this is what was recorded: "...zon account. An unauthorized purchase of an iphone XL 64 gigabytes for $749 is being ordered from your Amazon account. To cancel your order, or to connect with one of our customer support representatives please press 1 or simply stay on the line. Please press 1 to connect with our customer support team." Since I've never picked up the phone I don't know if they are trying to get personal information, or if they are just robocalling to see if the phone number is active, so they can sell that list to someone?
