Normally, I'd call them myself or use their app, or visit the branch if needs be. Getting repetitive phone calls from a number that claims to be the bank, when it's not listed as one of their official numbers on their website, raises many questions. The person on the line spoke to one of my parents and didn't leave a name nor extension number when asked. Two years ago, bank managers at two locations had informed me to take precautions when getting calls like these (and to contact the number on the back of my card instead). I must admit, this becomes a nuisance after a while, but it's better to be safe. I need my folks to learn to dismiss/ignore phony incoming phone calls, like this one. Not everyone is who they claim to be.

TD verified it isn't one of their numbers. (Scam call) reported by


I recieved several phone calls from this number over the past month and a half, some auto tellimated some actual people, I let them all go to voicemail. I called TD through their bank app (secured) to verify that my account was secured and check if this number as well as a few others were theirs. This number is not tied to TD in any way. It is a scam call, they will want to "verify" your account information with you if you answer or call them back. Be informed. Always use the official numbers to contact your bank, CRA or any other personal information provider, don't just call numbers back blindly believing them.
