Microsoft refund (Scam call) reported by


Called me twice this week, left a voice mail that I was due a refund from Microsoft , Left 3 different numbers on two occassions..888-496-1141, 289-224-9816, and 804-895-7266. What a shame we have to waste our time and be annoyed by these scammers in order to protect ourselves.

They called my police department's landline. On call back once I identified this as a police department they began making crude and inappropriate comments. Clearly a scam

Voicemail took the call. Started in the middle of a computer-voiced pitch about an unnamed company shutting down due to the "government agency", I should call the number to get "your refund". I got this same recorded robot voice message 7 and 8 days prior to this one with the same exact pitch from another number: 888-760-4202.

Received robo call saying I was due refund for Microsoft refund on protection I had purchased with my computer. called this number back and gave my name and I am clearly a man--the CSR kept calling me mamme. Told him twice I was a guy but continued to call me mamme until I said I'm a man. Clearly was calling overseas as English was a second language. Asked me how much I had paid in 3 times told him I didn't know--he didn't understand-- I told him he was a fraud and hung up.
