SCAM SCAM SCAM I Received a text message to call this number for 50% off my Direct TV bill by using EBAY code. After an Indian accent man explained I would only $100 a month and I'd get Cinemax, HBO and Stars free for 3 years with the 1 time $400 up front payment. He wanted me to pay $400 right now and then I wouldn't have a bill for 6 months, then month 7 thru the next 3 years my bill would be $100 a month. I refused to give him $400 and asked how much my bill for next month is? He told me my monthly bill was $199 a month...I said the Heck it is...and to transfer me to the Direct TV billing department right away and then the man hung up on me!! SCAM SCAM SCAM

My Microsoft Windows license has expired and this nice, polite gentleman was going to help me fix it. I let him ramble his instructions, I even put my phone down and often, I'd pick it up and say, "I can't find it". He said something very angrily and hung up... I wanted to get to the point where I tell him I have a Mac, but sadly, it didn't get that far...

The scammer claimed that my windows license key, which by the way is permanent, is expired. As that instant, I knew he was a scammer immediately so I pretended to be clueless, and wasted his time :D.

INDIAN CALL CENTER FAKE TECH SUPPORT SCAM (Scam call) reported by


Indian call center scammers, currently running a tech support scam, apparently they've done IRS scams and all the typical indian phone scams from this same number in the recent past. They try to get you to connect with them and give remote access of your computer, I hung up after that, but they were following the typical tech support scam script.

The person called said that they are from Microsoft and that something is wrong with our computer. When not fixed the computer will totally shut down. They would asked for payment ($300+) plus a foreign transaction fee, and if you are not aware that this is a scam, you would provide your card to pay. The first time I called, the person admitted that they are not in the U.S. but their technicians (with American names) are in the U.S. So you would thought that they are legitimate. Be careful on dealing with this number. JUST IGNORE them if you receive the call. They target SENIORS especially.

They want to renew all my Microsoft licenses but the strange thing is that my phone showed a one way camera connection to this number. I did not allow this number to connect to my phone camera. The other part is that I don't have any Microsoft software that needs to be renewed. DON'T GIVE THIS NUMBER ANY INFORMATION. Foreign accent person always the speaker on the other end of these calls.
