Call about non-existent invoice (Scam call) reported by


There are many posts on here that seem to believe this is a genuine call from PayPal. IT IS DEFINITELY NOT PAYPAL. They left a message on my answering machine, saying they were calling about an invoice. I have no outstanding invoice in either of my PayPal accounts. I checked my Message Center and Resolution Center in both my accounts and there were no notifications. As far as I am aware it is not PayPal's practice to make phone calls about matters of this kind. They will always contact you by direct email or through the Message Center.

Recieved a call with someone claiming to be PayPal collections o. (Scam call) reported by


This number called labeled as PayPal and the person on the other end claimed to be PayPal collections after I filed a dispute over a charge made when my account was hacked. I thought at first it was PayPal just not caring about whether the charge was valid or not because the heavily accented lady kept saying that a payment needed to be made no matter what and I would be refunded if the dispute went through. I then rembered that I previously got a call listed from Jamaica from someone claiming to be Publishers Clearing House after I decided to put one of their letters in the mail. He said he couldn't hear me and would call back on another line. Googled the number. Confirmed it was a scam. He called back wanting my card number. I said no and he said why, what's wrong with you? I said this call is coming from Jamaica and Google says this is a scam number, now what's wrong with you? Click. I'm certain this is the same thing.

Been receiving spam calls from this number about "negative Paypal balance". Somehow they knew my name but it was a lady with a strong, thick accent so I knew to be suspicious. Called the actual Paypal customer service phone number and the rep indicated that Paypal never calls customers about account balances and that this number is most likely a scam.

Paypal collections attempting to bring either your account, or an account with your number, out of the red. They will call over and over. Have discussed my issues with them and they continue to call. Incessant, but legitimate.

I hung up, called PP through their website where they confirmed there was no contact to me. THIS IS A SCAM!! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFORMATION! They call from multiple 800 numbers and are NOT PAYPAL!

Same! Their scam paypal business debit card cost me 100’s of dollars in over draft fees as they incorrectly connected my Bank of America checking acct. (my back up funding) to any Paypal purchase. Don’t use these, they are total scam! Paypal is nothing but FRAUD, they do not help you with issue. Had to get a stop payment via BOA to stop them from charging against my bank acct.!
