Called saying my magazine subscription was up for renewal and wanted to confirm my information to cancel the subscription. Could not tell me the card on file and tried to ask for my address occupation household income. Would not transfer me to a supervisor and eventually hung up on me

Person who called said I ordered magazines and the subscriptions are up. I told them I haven’t gotten magazines and to cancel. I asked what magazines was I receiving and she did not know. She just said she was the middle person. That gave me the red flag and I looked the number up and came here.

Person states that customer are calling about damaged magazines and that they will be sending a new set out to you and that there is a card attached to the account that needs to be comfirmed. I never said yes to anything or signed up for magazines wen i said i wanted them canceled he said that he was unable to do so. When i asked to speak to his supervisor he then changed his story and said ok i will go ahead and cancel this all out and hung up. Its a scam

Asked if I wanted to still continue renewal subscriptions of magazines said that it will incur a charge. I said "no please remove". They proceeded to say no problem, however, you do have one subscription that has 20 issues left that I cannot cancel and there will be a charge, I will transfer you over to our billing department to give your credit card information. I said "I am not giving out any credit card information over the phone, send me a bill". They then proceeded to hang up. Beware, suspect it is a SCAM.
