The robovoice says my warranty for car has expired, do you want to speak to a rep, when you say yes, it starts giving you all these options. I just hung up and blocked the number.

Be careful! These are those calls to get you to say "Yes" .... (Silent call) reported by

This spammer uses a voice-activated system. When they hear that a person has responded, a robo-voice kicks in. The pretense is that they are calling about your "car warranty" and how it's expired, and that this is a "courtesy final call" to remind you to renew it. Here's the catch. They ask if you want to. The idea is to record you, in your human voice, saying "Yes". In my case, I caught on pretty quick, I said "No", and the call automatically drops. A quick web search turned up some interesting things about this methodology. The spammers try to record your voice saying yes, to then bill you for whatever spam crap they're pulling. Since there have a call log and your human voice "affirming" their scam, they can then do what they want. Normally it involves billing things in your name, even though they don't have any financial/credit card/bank info on you. The best thing is to block the number on your phone. Be careful out there, folks...and whatever you do, don't say "Yes" to any robo-call from numbers you don't recognize.

"Auto Dealer Warranty" they're trying to get you to buy an extend (Robocall) reported by

"Auto Dealer Warranty" they're trying to get you to buy an extended warranty for your car. If you bought a car recently, lots of these companies will contact you. It is NOT from your Dealer.
