This # keeps calling and leaving message to call them at a different #. They know my first name. They say it is important for me to respond. I have called the # they left for me to call ... They wanted all sorts of personal information before they could "proceed" and would never share the purpose of their call.

The negative ratings don't know that this is an Inland Empire, CA specific number. If you're on IEHP/MediCal benefits, this number will call you to renew or need your to update your info. So, if you were low income or unemployed, you probably did sign up. They don't call unnecessarily. I'm personally suprised mine didn't expire after 2 years, since I'd moved and didn't make an effort to renew. They're actually good and cover necessary basics.

They said they were iehp but wanted to verify personal information on a recorded line so I hung up, If it is iehp, then they can email me. they know my email.

I got the same call, Altough, it may be iehp, not sure. I think Iehp should email you with all the phishing going on around the internet. Too much personal information being handed out.

Government branches prefer calling over email, because email can go to spam. They only call if it's urgent. IEHP is calling because you need to renew. This IS real, and you only get called if you're on MediCal benefits. This number is very specific to Inland Empire Health Plan for those needing financial assistance in southern California.

IEHP does not Spam call. If they call you most likely, it's because that is the callback number they were given. They handle most, if not all medical authorization services. Do answer. If in doubt call the number on back of the card, as they are not the same.
