Chase directed me to these guys. (Scam call) reported by


I had a fraud alert on my Chase card via eMail. I called the number on the back of my Chase card and instead of getting Chase... I got connected to someone else offering me a $100 shopping certificate. Very aggressive, hard sell and refused me to connect me with Chase. I think Chase should be careful who they associate with.

Try to trap me to reward scam (Scam call) reported by


I was calling CheapOair at 1(800)5250400 to book a hotel. Some guy answered. Before i speak a message offered a$100 shopping certificate. Stupid me i was interested. I then asked for detail. He responded that all you needed is to pay $2.95 for handling fee. I was hooked. He then asked me to put it on my credit card. I went ahead to give him my credit account number believing that is an offer from cheapOair. After that he offered me a$500 certificate for a purchase which they didn’t bother to tell me what product. At that point i began to realize that’s a scam. So i told them that I’m not interested. Then they began to threaten me to give them my credit card number and to say “yes” to the offer. Otherwise they will charge me$69 for cancellation. I refused. They again threaten me if I don’t accept they will charge me more. Of course i was upset and keep tell him that i never wanted the $500 reward. He then said the longer i take to accept he will charge me $200. In fact he said that he already charged me $200. Then i told him that he was a scam. All of the sudden the phone line got cut off. So i hang up and called my credit card co to cancel my credit card . At the same time he called me back from (912)3879856. I wasn’t going to answer because there was no caller ID showing. But somehow my hunch told me to answer thinking that was him calling. Indeed that was him. He began to tell me how rude that i hang up on him. It’s then i told that he was a scam. He then shut up ! I also reported to cheapOair that either their line or my line was hacked in. These guy should be arrested and persecuted. How can they get away with this? Don’t they have to register personal info to get a phone? But who’s to check? Consumers BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 4500
