Claim they are collecting for State troopers. (Scam call) reported by


They have called me before...years ago also...it's a man's voice and he always asks "Is Stacey there?" When I say no, you have the wrong number, he always says well maybe you can help me, we are collecting for (something) Troopers (usually some police org.) and I said no you called me before and he hung up on me. When he called me the first time, I had agreed to donate to some organization for police and there is a point where they say "Did I get that right ?" so that you will say yes. I read somewhere that they record your voice and then use it some how to scam you. I don't know if that true. Well he didn't take any credit card info or anything and said someone else would be calling for that...,but they never did...thank God!!
