I also get a phone from that number. It's an indian or arabic accent. the same strategy: ask if I am ...my name...and if I work for....x company...that hung up. I think he take the info's from LinkedIn.

my phone show me its a number from New York, i answer and the spoke in french ( i am in France) i asked maybe he could speak in English, he had big accent he asked my name and hanged up.

I am in the UK and this number came up on my mobile as from the USA?? The person had a very strong accent - not American. Asked to speak to me using my full name, I asked who was calling. He gave some weird name and stated that Amazon wanted to send me an email regarding my handmade products. Told him that I already received emails from Amazon and hung up before he had a chance to say anything else. It is difficult to believe that Amazon would use this kind of marketing.
