Apple iCloud (Robocall) reported by


Robo voice telling me that my iCloud account has been breached and if I want to speak to someone press 1, if I want more information regarding the breach press 2. It gave me a number to call 917-338-0474 for more information too. I do not have an active iCloud account that I am aware of and I plan on doing some more research on this.

Someone with a heavy foreign accent claiming to represent Apple Support Advisor made 6 robocalls to my landline and left several voice messages. I finally pick up the phone and they wanted me to give them access to my laptop. I told them I don't have an Apple laptop and I don't have it with me. They told me to call them when I get home at 917-338-0474. They also stated this number on the many voice messages they left. The caller ID lists their numbers as 330-865-6280 and 518-389-0140.

On Friday, August 10, 2018, something claiming to represent Apple Support Advisor made 6 robocalls to my land line, listed in the National Do-Not-Call registry. The first call advised a problem with my data in my iCloud. I own no apple devices. The second advised my IP address was compromised and not to use any Apple devices. I had picked up on these two and as soon as the word Apple came up I hung up. The last 4 calls were identical and recorded on my answering machine. They all wanted me to select an option to reach a service, ending with advice to 'call the following toll free number, 917-338-0474' which is most definitely NOT toll free and actually is a New York City area code. Clearly scammers, watch out for this scam and for this phone number. From the looks of it they should have been shut down ages ago with all these other scam warnings. YOU MUST REPORT THESE SCAMS TO THE FTC. JUST GOOGLE 'report phone scam' and select the FTC option. You can report the scam in a few minutes.

Robo call said "My name is Jennifer. Your mobile phone has been compromised. Press 2 to speak with a representative. Or if you'd like to call us back later, our toll-free line is 917-338-0474." I didn't press any buttons. I got this call from 2 different area codes today, neither of which are 917. And 917 is obviously not toll free.
