Confirming Contact Info (Unsolicited call) reported by

Received a call directly to my mobile number (which I do not give out for work). A man with a heavy Asian accent asked if I was <insert my full name here> and I responded "That's my name, yeah." (I try not to say "yes" on the phone to avoid scam issues). He then said he was calling from Spectrum, and mentioned the name of the company I work for and a title close to mine, and the approximate location of where our office used to be. He wanted me to confirm that info was correct, and I said "I'm sorry what is this regarding?" after which he hung up the phone without responding. Definitely looking either just to confirm a bunch of personal info to sell it or to scam in some way. Would suggest blocking the number. No idea how he got my work info associated with my personal phone number, but I have dealt with several new vendors in my personal life recently, so any of them could be the culprit.

Fake IBM (Telemarketer) reported by

Said they wanted to speak to our CIO; that they'd sent him an important document. Lately, this is the scam that they're trying to pull "a document" or "an important document"... it's old news. They claim that they sent a document and that they are from a legitimate business, only they lie and aren't. They are scam artists. Ask to be removed from their call list and hang up.
