An Indian guy who said his name was Michael Jones was trying to get me to give him my social security number to get an FaSfa number. He told me that I would qualify for loan forgiveness and he wanted my social security number to get the number. And if he processed it, he could get it faster than me. This is a scam. Michael even told me he would email me the forms. No email was ever received.

Called from DOE supposedly and asked for a $600 enrollment fee, I was skeptical and even asked if it was a scam(of course they say no)They have taken money out of my account unscheduled and when I called them about it, could not get a human on the phone, it goes straight to a recorded message telling you to leave a message and they will call back. I've been calling for a few days leaving messages with no return phone calls. They have taken my money and will call repeatedly until you answer at first. changed bank cards and reported the transactions. My only guess is that it's a scam.

federal student loan forgiveness with the DOE (Financial services) reported by Kat
A guy with an Indian accent named J. A. called me, offered to speak to me about a student loan forgiveness program. halfway through the conversation, he stated the enrollment fee was about $600. I remained skeptical and got suckered in, gave him my payment info, but it was fake. Got home to check it out.
