Caller ID said Apple Inc. (Unsolicited call) reported by

Caller ID said "Apple Inc." My wife had a problem Saturday 11/16/2019 where someone tried hacking her MacBook Pro turning the monitor black. When I went into my WiFi setup and block the computer's access, it suddenly went back to normal. then Sunday 11/17/2019 had a message that her files were corrupted and she had X mins. to start a scan or they would be lost. I simply turned off her WiFi, and then told it "scan", and instantly got a message "you are not connected to the internet". Problem solved. I assume the "Apple Inc." call was the same scammer trying a different route.
