No message left; caller ID showed as Local Massechusetts. I called the number right back to see who they are and what they wanted. This is the message I heard (pleasant female telephone voice): "Welcome to our customer communication management platform. It is likely that you have been contacted by one of our representatives and are calling back for additional information or to request that we refrain from calling you in the future. Please listen to the following prompts and select the information that best meets your needs. (pause) If you would like to be connected to one of our customer service representatives please press 1 now. If you would like to have your telephone number input into our do not call database please press 2 now. If you would like to leave a voice message please press 3 now and it will be delivered to our customer care department. If you would like to report your concerns regarding our marketing practices or to provide your comments to the Regulatory Agencies that govern our industry please press 4 now. If you would like to hear these selections again please press 9." When I pressed 1) I heard 'on hold music' then the message saying 'Please leave a message after the beep after you have completed your message please press 8 or just hang up.' When I pressed 3) there is no music and shorter 'leave your message after the beep' message. When I pressed 4) I got the following recording: 'Both the Federal Trade Commission and the Federal Communications Commission enforce rules regarding direct telefonix solicitation the Federal Trade Commission maintains a hotline for customer complaints the FCC hotline can be reached at 888-382-1222 the FCC consumer hotline can be reached by dialing 888-225-5322 please keep in mind that political calls and calls made by nonprofit organizations may not be subject to the same rules as more traditional telemarketing calls.' (then a male voice adds at the end) 'Thank you for calling and please have a nice day.' Yes
