Fake number claiming to be FBI. Google searching it does show it as FBI, but in a different state, (the number that shows when someone calls can be easily faked). I'm sure if it was the real FBI, they wouldn't be trying to contact me from several states away when I know they have a local office. Or they would just show up at my door. For sure a scam.

I didn't fall for it. The FBI wouldn't be calling. If I did do anything wrong, I'm sure they would have been at my front door.

Just called me today and yesterday claiming that Social Security # would be placed on a "hold".... called the number back once i hung up and its claiming the FBI office....

A scammer with a very strong India accent claiming from the social security bureau called me to pay to suspend my social security number. I did not give him my social. After I hung up the phone, I immediately received a machine call showing from the FBI on my mobile screen, but I hung up right away. Then I called back and found out the number. It is (202) 324-30xx, from Washington DC. The scammer's phone number is (800)696-13xx. I called this number, I got the message "You have dialed a number that is not available from your calling area".
