They called saying I'd won money because I wasn't in debt, but I could barely understand the guy. I mean sure it'd be cool to win that money but they were a little pusher telling me to call the department manager. He even called again 7 minutes later to tell me I had to call today. I'm sorry, but for this to be real I want to hear from someone I understand or get a formal letter in the mail with very specific details. Number blocked

This number called me and said they where with the government grant office and i was owed a refund. I told them I was not stupid that they would not be calling me for that and the man hung up on me when I tried calling the number back it said message service was full then a lady started calling me from this number and another number Just 2 number off from last one.

calls came in all from US EPA day. Finally I answered. It was a woman with alot of voices in background. Asked for my son. I said hes not home she said she would call back later. I called the number back and it comes up disconnected. HAH right now they figured out to call from disconnected numbers ugh

Got numerous calls from this number. When I answered, they hung up a few times. One time, a woman with a heavy accent said she was "Gloria" calling me from government grants, or something like that. When I asked how she got my number, she hung up.

They will list a lot of information in a thick accent- 10k grant, "once in a life time", for low income dependents, etc. A lady turns you over to a man to receive some info. They give you an approval and tracking number under the guise the process is legitimate. They told me to go to walgreens. I pretended to go there and waited on the line 10 minutes, then picked back up to ask what was next. They told me a proof of identification was a 300$ iTunes gift card purchase. Obvious scam. I asked why I could not get it in writing in the mail, to which he provided me nothing more than what he already said and turned me over to his "superior". By the way, there were children loudly giggling in the background. The lady had the same voice as the first caller and said her name was "Megan M.". She rattled off the same nonsense and wouldn't let me interrupt for a second. I hung up. Minutes later I got a call from Manitoba, Canada. Same guy-- I hung up.

I just received a call frm them actually , same scam . And it's crazy b/c a couple months ago they called my house looking for my mother telling her the same thing and how she can get $10,200 , "FREE" , by going to a local WalMart or Walgreens to receive the money and that all they ask for in return was the $200, which "goes to the government" . Then my mother asked to speak to a manager or higher power , whom in which was the same person . We knew it was a scam but my mother just wanted to see how these ppl reacted when she broke everything down logically , basically saying that this would have been on paper and that if the government , or whomever , wanted part of the money they wouldn't ask they would have already taken it .

THEY CALLED TO SPEAK TO MY HUSBAND FIRST TIME BUT HE WAS NOT HOME. THEY SAID THEY WOULD CALL BACK. THEY CALLED IN ONE HOUR. I ASKED "IS THIS THE US ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY", THE LADY ANSWERED WITH A NASTY REPLY "NO" AND HUNG UP. I GUESS SHE DIDN'T REALLY NEED TO SPEAK WITH MY HUSBAND.

Scammers offered a grant for $10,200 from the "Federal government" for not having any bankruptcies, paying bills on time, etc. Was very insistent that I go to a Western Union, give my banking info or a major credit card for the money to be deposited. I said "you know what, send me a check! That's what the government does!" The guy got very upset and yelled you know what we'll just bring it to your doorstep! And hung up! So very stupid, annoying and pathetic!

Answer the call... they ask to speak to Shannon. I don't know anyone by that name. As soon as I ask, who is this they hang up. I call the number back and a recorded voice that says "Hello you've reached an unassigned number for the Environmental Protection Agency." They are calling NONSTOP!
