I received a call from an Unknown number today, June 27th & 28th. They claimed I was picked out of 1700 people across the nation to receive a $8400 grant because I paid my taxes on time, don't have a criminal record, and didn't file for bankruptcy. I was given this number(202)681-3163 to call and speak to their accounting manager. When I asked who they and the accounting manager were, I was told they couldn't give me that information. Told me to go to Walmart and pay $300 for "Registration Card" and then Walmart,Monet Gram would give me my $8400 grant in cash right then. What was most bothering, they willingly told me my full name and address over the phone and asked if that was me.

I too got the phone call to call 202-681-3163. Because I won a grant of $8,400 from the US federal government. I was selected out of 1700 people. And I could collect the money in cash through Western Union, but I needed to give my approval number NR22, and call 540-341-1021. What a joke!!

I just received the 4th call in 2 weeks telling g me the same thing. He told me I could not spend it on drugs, alcohol or gambling. I told him if he gave it to me than I could do what I wanted too. He said no they would have to know what I would do. I told him I would give it away and he hang up.

I received this call on 4-13-2016. I was given a confirmation number and told to call to get my free government grant for $7000. The number i was told to call was 202-681-4893. Thanks for the help because I won't be calling. I figured it was a scam.

This number called a student in class. She is a graduating senior & they stated there was a federal grant if $7000, waiting for her. They told her if she 'qualified' the money would be transferred TODAY! All she needed to do was send $250.. When the teacher who was listening in took the phone and told the person it was a scam and to never call this student again, she was told to 'shut up' and hung up on!!
