Got a call from this number at 7:30 am. Didn't pick up but there was an automated voicemail. Called back just to confirm my suspicions. Someone picked up and said something like "Thank you for calling Microsoft, how may I help you" in a very thick accent and very clearly from a loud call center.

Called and said I would be charged $290 if I didn't call back. They knew somehow that I needed to renew my subscription. I called the number back. They then started the process to get access to my computer!!!

Robo call - said Microsoft will charge $299. for renewal. If I want to cancel, call the same # 202-873-2578 to cnc. Number doesn't belong to Microsoft. Also got the same Robo call message from 530-535-4868.

$299 charge on my credit card about Microsoft/windows (Unsolicited call) reported by


Caller wanted me to punch a number to keep the $299 amount from being charged to my credit card. I got a person on the line and asked him what kind of scam this was and he told me he didn't understand it was to keep me from being charged $299 on credit card for Microsoft/Window. I repeated my question about it being a scam and he hung up. This was about 12:15 p.m. At2:28 p.m. the same call was received and recorded on my answering machine. I have received this call numerous times in the month of January and now February

These people called my elderly Mother threatening to take $293 out of checking account. Mom called me . I called # told them they were scammers & to stop calling. Gave # to my Brother & Sister. Sister called Sheriff's Dept. to report. I called 2nd time & agt told them being reported hung up on me. DO NOT call Our Mother. Guess who of many people you called reported you. Good Luck.
