If you call number back, number is not active for return calls, but is legitimate number. DSHS helps people access Food, Cash, and Medical Benefits for free. It's Government Agency. Return number would be 877-501-2233.

This number is an outgoing line for Washington's Department of Social and Health Services. I spoke with a social worker there who was calling me from this number about an ongoing claim, and it was a legit call.

Demanded payment or they would turn off elevator in 30 min (Scam call) reported by


Very salty guy called and said our apartment elevator would be turned off due to lack of payment and response from management. Said he was from the City of Seattle. I called back the number and you have to enter a 10 digit code, then the line will hang up on you. In no way does the City inspector make phone calls demanding payment. This is a scam!
