They called me and told me that the federal government (IRS) is investigating me and that there is a warrant out there for my arrest. I actually do work for the federal government and there is no warrant for my arrest.... They are just trying to scare you to get your info and money...They use the following phone numbers: 206-777-1088 and 904-404-2641. Do not give them any info! Just reported them to IRS! Please report them at https://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam.shtml if they call you!

The caller left the following message: “Notice from IRS Internal Revenue Services: The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing a lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our department number 505-349-5808. I repeat 505-349-5808. Thank you.”

Caller ID showed Seattle Washington. It's Memorial Day, so I'm wondering who's calling me. Right away, foreign accent and he needs to talk to me about my computer. So, I say to him "Oh, this will be fun! Tell me what kind of computer I have and what's wrong with it". He begins to say that my "Windows operating system...", I talk over him, saying "I don't have Windows, I have a Mac. Why don't you get a legitimate job and stop scamming people", and hung up.

Caller said he worked for Windows and that my PC was sending out error messages every time I went on the Internet. I told him that wasn't possible because my PC is stored away in my closet and hasn't been used for over 6 months. What was he trying to gain from this call anyways?
