Left threatening robocall message saying "illegal activity" (Scam call) reported by R.
Let the call go to voicemail, got a threatening-sounding robo-voice recording indicating that "illegal activity has been reported from your computer network" and that if I didn't call to have it taken care of soon, a warrant would be put out for my arrest and my internet access would be shut down. For fun, I called the number back and after a few rings got what was clearly an overseas phone-mill of scammers (lots of background noise of other 'operators' taking calls like mine). The speaker barely spoke understandable English, and said that they were "Windows support" and had "been reported by malware via my IP address" (a bunch of techno gibberish). Then they tried to direct me to have me go to my computer and open my browser to try and get me to go to a corrupt address. When they asked me what I was seeing first I said "My Macintosh login logo" and that threw the guy a minute. Then he comes back and tries to get me to go to the website anyway on my browser. I took a page from my own playbook trying to give tech support to the elderly and when he gave me the address I pretended to accidentally put it in the SEARCH engine box instead of the address bar, and when he asked what I saw I said "A bunch of Google search results saying 'tech support scam.'" At which point he muttered something and hung up. A fun few minutes' wasting of scammers' time.

Received a cell phone call claiming to be the IRS. I stated that the call sounded like it came from India and was a scam call. The caller hung up.

They stated that there is a law suit against me and gave me a case number and told me if I did not call them good luck with the consequences. It's a scam.
