Called and did not leave a message. When I returned the call, a man with a strong South Asian accent immediately answered "Internal Revenue Service, Officer John speaking." I hung up immediately. Obviously fake! In my experience, you wait for 30 minutes or more to speak to someone at the IRS and they don't call themselves "officers" ;-)

this is a scam. He also infected your computer with a virus before charging you money to remove it. Dell would never call you unless you had a specific issue that you called them about first. Dell's customer records have also been hacked, so that's how they got your phone number. They just called me and when I told him I new it was a scam and would report them, he laughed at me and yelled "Good Day" and hung up. Not something a Dell employee would do.
