Called early in the morning and claimed she was from a lawyers office calling about may cash award. Asked if I remembered entering some contest. I said no and hung up. Sometimes these callers are trying to get a recording of you saying "Yes" so they can claim you signed up for something.

Law firm rep in regards to Consumer Sweepstakes win (Scam call) reported by


Caller, who didn't speak English well, asked for me by name,stating "This is the law firm calling and ypu've been waiting for this call, haven't you?" I said no and asked what it was in regards to. Caller stated the "Consumer Sweepstakes." I stated this is a scam, take me off your list and hung up.

Yes just got the same call "I won $500,000.00" Yea right! Same scenario caller spoke broken English. He needed my info before he passed me thru to the law firm.

Woman called claiming to be from a law firm and wanted to talk about a check I was supposedly getting this coming Thursday. Asked for what, she said do you remember ordering magazines and books from "couldn't make out her answer". I said I hadn't ordered anything in years and she hung up.
