THIS IS A SCAM 100%. This lady called my wife by name. She had all her info-- address, DOB, etc. And said that she owed $500 from an unpaid medical bill from 2016. My wife's first language is not English, so she was trying to ask the lady to speak slower, but the lady started harassing my wife and threatening her with the consequences of not paying such bill. Thankfully, after some time, the lady hung up.

I did not answer at first but I did call back after reading all these and it was a debt collector. So I called back and as soon as I got through I said, I do not have any debt. I know that for a fact because I just went through the process of removing any past debt so I could buy my house. I asked them to remove my number. She was actually surprisingly very kind and said she would remove it.

Said that I owed money, I asked how much, I said OK send me something in writing and I would get a payment right out to them. They said we already mailed you a bill. I said I did not receive, please mail again. All she kept saying was we did. I ask if that meant she was not going to mail me the information. She said No, we did. I told her fine then we are done here, and hung up.

Caller asked for my wife by name, I stated she was unavailable I asked who was calling,she said unfortunately I can't give that information regarding a personal matter. I said, so you call MY number ask for MY wife and you can't even tell me who this is? She said that is correct. I then replied hmmm, sounds pretty sketchy to me... CLICK!!! so is this how that $1000. wk add in Craigslist works... because I could do that all day... IJS... lol..

Had no idea who she was, or who she represented. When I asked her why she was calling, she insisted she couldn't tell me unless I confirmed my DOB because it was personal information. Refused, and she hung up.
