Woman, Chelsea Wilson, with a thick accent left a message saying she was from Banker's Life and wanted to discuss a position with me after viewing my resume. I checked the number and found this page.

Unsolicited Call About My Resume (Unsolicited call) reported by


Voicemail said her name was Chelsea Wilson & she was calling on behalf of Banker’s Life in Houston, but it was either a robot or she doesn’t speak English well. “Chelsea” said she saw my resume posted online (currently unemployed & have a couple job board profiles) & wanted to discuss an open position they have. I HATE when companies do this because it’s always about SALES, yet all my profiles clearly say I’m looking for an ADMIN position. Companies will even lie & say it’s an admin position then when I get to the interview—nope, just sales (MAYBE after being promoted several times the role becomes more admin than sales, but still sales). IF this wasn’t a scam attempt: • to get my banking info after claiming it would be needed to pay me via direct deposit &/or • to “hire me” for a position that requires office equipment so they help me “fund” my start up costs to then withdraw much more than the original amount they “deposited” Then that most likely means the call was to manipulate me into working for them, & ultimately give them money by being required to have family/friends help me “train” so my loved ones could be pressured into doing business with my “trainer” (who would earn a commission off of them). The way I would make money is by manipulating someone else into joining the business & tricking them into bringing me prospects. I can’t stress this enough: COMPANIES THAT DO THIS ARE NOT “INTERVIEWING” YOU FOR A “JOB,” NOR DO THEY “HIRE” YOU FOR ANYTHING! It really grinds my gears when people say, “My company is hiring—let me set you up with an interview!” “We’re hiring for full time & part time!” “My job is hiring. I’ll have my manager call you!” ...none of these statements are accurate or truthful in any way because you won’t be an employee. Plain & simple. Don’t fall for it!!
