All I could understand from this person was the words Social Security and nothing else! I told him he had the wrong number! He called right back & I told him I didn't know what he was talking about & he then got nasty telling me to "put him on the line" whatever that meant! Then I to,d him again he had the wrong number & he got nasty so I called him. NAE & hung up on him! If this guy is fir real he needs to speak in clearly enunciated ENGLISH! I don't speak Hindi nor do I want to have to learn it to understand people who supposedly need to speak to you or someone in the home! Had I been able to understand this person all would have been taken care of, if this person proved to be legitimate! We get so very many calls from people who can not speak English very well at all that are obvious SCAMS. If this is indeed the SSI Administration they need to hire people who can speak English so that older people on SSI, who are more than likely hard of hearing, can understand what they are saying! The SSI Administration also needs to make a system of codes for its SSI members so they can verify that it really is a legitimate call! Give members a code number & have he caller have to verify it! That old be one way of avoiding problems with SCAMMERS.
