Claims to be processor with Social Security (Service) reported by


Caller claims to be with the Harold Washington Social Security Center, 600 West Madison Street, Chicago, IL 60661-2406. In an email, his phone number is given as 800-842-0588 ext.35997. He called me today from this number: 312 575 6999. If you call the 800 number, the recording says leave your name and Social Security number, which immediately raises red flags. I don't believe a legitimate SSA processor has that much time to spend focusing on reaching out to one individual with calls and emails. I'm not taking the bait.
