money offer from reserve bank of NY (Scam call) reported by


offered me $9000 but needed to call Reserve Bank of New York first. Played them out and guy there told me "f you" because I couldn't understand him. Called back other number and they wanted me to go to Walmart while they were on phone and get a $200 gift card. Told them I could not stay online but would do it and they wanted me to call them right away but I didn't follow through. Very aggressive and annoying. They called me back from "World Bank of NY" and tried to curse me out.

Nine calls today from this number. The first eight they didn't leave a message. The ninth call I answered & asked "What do you want? It must be important if you have to call nine times." The young lady (with a very heavy accent) knew my name (this number is not listed in my name) and said I had be chosen to receive... (something I didn't understand because of her accent). She continued, "...because you pay your taxes on time and don't have a criminal record..." I asked how she could know that information, because it may not be true. She said, "Because of a study we did in the United States." I asked exactly what I was chosen to receive because I didn't understand her. She started over, as if reading from a script. I asked about three times, each time she started over, perfect script. At one point I said, "Are you saying I was chosen to receive a 'good woman grant', what does that mean?" She attempted to start over one more time, then hung up. After ending the call I realized she must have been saying "government grant".
