Scammer claiming to be Apple Technical Support (Scam call) reported by


323-593-7039 Robocaller who said my Apple Id had been compromised. "Do not use your apple device until you have spoken with someone." Pressed 1 to talk to technician (2 to hang up). "Henry" told me to open my laptop and took me to some suspicious site called getconnect.me After I got there he gave me a 6 digit technician number and after you enter the number the download button turns from grey to blue prompting you to click it. I told Henry I wasn't going to download anything unless I got an official email from apple. He asked for my email address to send me one. He barely spoke english (definitely from a southwest asian continent inside the Yemen/Kazakhstan/India triangle) and couldn't get my email right, so after spending 10 minutes I got frustrated and told him that I would hang up and call Apple back myself. He yelled back at me asking what I wanted from him. I screamed that he called me, and then he hung up. Definite scam. They either want you to call them back so they can siphon the info out of your phone, or download their 'technician program' so they can have all of the info on your computer. DO NOT CALL BACK OR DOWNLOAD ANYTHING FROM THEM. This is definitely not Apple. The real apple phone number is 800 MY APPLE!

For some reason these guys even have information as to how many devices you have and what these devices are. That's what almost convinced me, the red flag was when they asked me to install software, but this software wasn't authentic, thats when I knew that apple would never call me and ask me to install software that wasn't authentic. After I installed it thats when I almost gave up full permission to "John" to access my details, luckily I was skeptical and found this website before I clicked "Agree". Please if this happens to you be aware. The guy had an Indian accent, not that it matters but its just a fact. DO NOT INSTALL OR GIVE THEM FULL PERMISSION TO ACCESS YOUR COMPUTER AND DETAILS!!!

They will try to get your Apple password or device number. They are reluctant to sat the word Apple Support, only the automated answering line sats Apple (once). If they are questioned they become evasive. If you are persistant they become hostile and resort to calling the caller a f**king idiot and then they disconnect. They will not disclose the name of their company.

Recorded caller named "Molly" states that my Apple ID has been caught conducting suspicious activity and I need to call 1-800-#. I have had this sort of thing happen before from a Florida number. I called Apple at that time and they said that they do not monitor activity. The only way they could know of a problem is if the customer called Apple. Block this number if it calls you!

left a computer generated message asking to call an 800 number which sends you to Indy Mac bank, someone I have had no dealing with. I consider this phone number as well as the 800 number to be spam and should be blocked unless you have some dealing with this organization

Called about suspicious icloud activity (I don't have one). Left a message with a 1-800 number, which when searched, sends you to a fake apple site flagged as malicious.
