if they told you a transaction was fake, then how is it a scam call? most banks now have a company calling for them to verify transactions on your card (debit or credit)....it's a new world, wake up and realize!!

Call stating they were my bank and that my debit card had activity. Left a number to call back (800-622-1361). I did not call it back. This is a scam. I verified it with my bank.

then your bank lied to you or maybe your small local branch didn't know anything about what headquarters had decided because i have spoken with them at this number as verified by two of my banks (prosperity and centris) and they are legit. thank you for your lack of knowledge which spreads like poison

Call from my credit card company verifying purchases. They did not ask anything but yes or no questions and identified themselves as a company which I have an account with so definitely a legitimate call.

I received 2 calls- 1st was a female- apologizing for dialing the wrong # the 2nd was a recording to call back some # that was not even close to the same # on my caller ID.....I called my bank and they assured me it was not them calling me and this was probably a fishing scam
