Scam call reported by Cat ????
Hey! It's the IRS, calling from yet another number. Seems they call us from all over the US these days! They use so many phone numbers, too. And now our IRS is using an employee with a very un- American accented voice. That is OK, the accent, I mean. But insulting our intelligence by claiming he or she has a common American name? When we can hear many more of the same accents talking to other marks who "owe" the IRS, demanding away in the caller's office cubicles, I mean "boiler room"? But hey...you had better give up your credit/debit card number, NOW, because, why else? You owe your government for whatever IRS reason. And it is just terrible!! The shame you have wrought upon yourself! Come on, give up that $, potential victims. Paying what the IRS says you owe is always the right thing to do, right? Of course not! Read on, so you know what to expect if you truly do owe our IRS: ----------- The IRS will always send taxpayers a written notification of any tax due via the U.S. mail. They NEVER ask for credit or debit card information over the phone. They are also not all from a foreign nation… yet. Sorry heavily accented Frank! ------------ Other potential vics have called these particular scammers back, keeping them on the phone for long periods of time and pretending that credit card number is about to be given....but wait...there is more to ask, 1st! Now where did that credit card go, here it is...but there is more to ask! These desperate losers will actually stay on the line for a surprisingly looooong time. Great fun and you may get a bonus of THEM blocking YOU if you call them back several more times. ???? Or just use this blocking app. Still, it is more fun to hassle them if you have the time. (My personal favorite question for the obviously out of country scammers is asking why the Americanized name like Steve or Mary? Why not Abdul, Amin or Fatima? Or, Mohammed? Saddam? Hmmm?) NOTE: These scammers may use other ruses than the IRS one. Their obje
