Microsoft refund scam (Scam call) reported by

A man with a strong and almost unintelligible Hindu accent called me about the fact that "Microsoft" was no longer going to offer maintenance to my computer and was eligible for a refund. I told him that I did not speak English (I speak very little because I speak Spanish) and he hung me up, called again and asked who he was talking to and told him that he knew who because he had called, not me. What surprised me was that he would say my name and that of one of my daughters and ask which of them I was. Obviously I told him I did not recognize those names and I hung up. (Use a translator).

called 8 times in one day! wanted to offer "refund" on software (Telemarketer) reported by

I called back once and used the touchtone to talk to a person so I could tell them DO NOT CALL AGAIN, after the fourth call. The person who answered had a heavy accent, and wanted to ask me "research questions." I reemphasized that they would not get any information from me, and not to call again. They called 4 more times that night. I blocked the number with ATT. We'll see how that works out.
