I grew up in AZ and have an AZ phone number, but I’ve never opened an account with APS. The caller ID is programmed to look “legit” (though the weird acronym is a dead giveaway, real energy companies don’t do that) but it’s a scam call for sure. If you hear the “you have 45 minutes until your account is shut down” it’s 1000000% a scammer. Companies won’t close your account if you owe them, they may leave you a nice sounding voicemail reminding you to go onto the website to pay or send you a message through their website regarding your service, but they will NEVER threaten to close your account. That’s bad business.

I googled the number before preparing to answer but it went to voicemail before I could answer. They left a message saying my service was scheduled to be disconnected in 45 minutes. I do have APS, however I have a zero balance so I knew this was a scam. Google article from aps confirms scammers are spoofing their customer service number to look like it's really APS.

I actually called APS in regards to this call. The caller stated that in 2020 APS sent 2 letters requesting a deposit for a new smart meter which they did not receive a response and because of this a tech would be at my house today to disconnect the power. Per APS, if they change the meter it is at no charge to the customer and they know this is a scam.

Robocall voicemail purportedly from electric utility customer service. Do not have account with this utility. As noted elsewhere, this is a legitimate number to call APS, but is not a number APS will use to call a customer. On APS website, utility asks that calls from this number be reported to them.

Robocall. Beware! This IS a legit APS Co. number for customers to call... and OCCASIONALLY to be called FROM. If you get a call FROM this #, be careful! It might be legit, but it's more likely a "spoofed-number" call from a fraudster. If you do answer DON'T RESPOND TO ANY QUESTIONS -- DON'T GIVE ANY INFORMATION. Best to end call, and if you are an APS customer, YOU call APS.

The call displayed "APS Residential" as the caller. The phone number is a valid number for the Arizona Public Service, but this particular caller was spoofing the number as a ruse to get people to answer. The ca;ller (a man with a foreign accent-possibly east Asian) was selling solar power systems. I hate when crooks use valid numbers to cover up illicit calls. A similar thing happened recently when I received a call from a local hospital, but the crook was hawking health insurance and was not with the hospital. Why can't something be done to stop these crooks?

March 4 2020 APS Outage Hotline called from this number when power was restored. Other reviews say scammers spoof this number & call trying to get money for past due bill when they don't have APS account.
